Love to hate love
I hate to put my fingers
into a box of empty cigarettes
To watch fine silk dislodge it's roots
from a head of empty loneliness
I hate to write lenghty letters
and address them to nobody out there
To be on your list of ignores
for a friend whom nobody seems to care
The moments of chance
the closeness we chose to dance
wings we spread to fly
your tight grip, I wouldn't deny
Those times are few and rare
I'll treasure, and never share
I'll love to hate love
I'll learn to hate love
into a box of empty cigarettes
To watch fine silk dislodge it's roots
from a head of empty loneliness
I hate to write lenghty letters
and address them to nobody out there
To be on your list of ignores
for a friend whom nobody seems to care
The moments of chance
the closeness we chose to dance
wings we spread to fly
your tight grip, I wouldn't deny
Those times are few and rare
I'll treasure, and never share
I'll love to hate love
I'll learn to hate love
