Life of a man

The whole world up against a single man,
they turn their backs and devise a plan
Swift blows of management from all four sides,
take turns to savour his years of pride

Relentlessly he took a graceful fall,
his slow slow death means nothing to all
Overlooked, the trophies once earned
Overworked, the products he churned

How lonely, the man the world has forgotten
Ungrateful, his friends that once had exploited
Wasted a life he once had led,
a passing breeze the friends he met

Now the world has turned their attention,
to another man who has all their affection.
